I've been doing music as a hobby for a long time, but only in the past few months began to take it more seriously.
I try to make at least one track a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but I think it averages to about that.
I publish stuff frequently on Youtube, so if you're interested you should check it out. I publish shorts with WIPs and small projects along with commentary about music production, and publish larger completed works as videos on my channel.
My original music is all creative commons, so you can use it for anything, with attribution. Some is CC0 which is basically public domain. If it's labelled CC0, that means you can use it without attribution. I like the idea of contributing to the public domain.
I have a vision of eventually making a space around music production that is positive and fun, with a focus on practice and improvement. Building an online presence is a way to try to summon that into reality.
I am pretty productive. I have about 4 hours of published music on youtube in three months. I try to go through the cycle of idea->composition->production->posting as much as possible to build skills. I also try to experiment with different genres to help keep the study productive. Please forgive the frequent posting as I curate a selection of recent tracks for this account.
I always welcome negative feedback so long as there's at least something constructive about it, you can be harsh, I'll appreciate it regardless.
I am testing the water with livestreaming music production and maybe some software stuff also. Outside of music stuff I am an experienced programmer... oh the pain of existence. But maybe some of that can be worked into the vibe eventually. We will see.
I want to focus on the vibe of: there's nothing magic about music, you can do it too and learn it like anything else, and you can follow me on my journey of learning stuff and trying stuff out, if you want.
Post primarily because it's good to do, rather than any other reason.
Social media creator-side gameification is a tool to keep me motivated to keep practicing and posting, and not an addiction, I swear.
